Glencoe Elopement Photography

Hey!! Welcome to our adventure to Glencoe!

We set up this styled shoot to bring two complete strangers (not models) together to ‘elope’ and I may be a little biased, but don’t they look great together?!

Let me tell you the story…

We got up at the crack of dawn on what was going to be a great sunny day in a cold November to pick up our wonderful makeup artist @alexkmua who slept soundly in the car on the way up haha. After driving up the winding roads past Loch Lomond and into the beautiful scenic mountains of Bony Scotland, it was hard to pay attention to what is on the road with such amazing scenery around… Don’t worry, there were no accidents!

I pulled up on one of my favourite viewpoints awaiting our lovely couple’s arrival.

There was no one around!! If you are wondering why I was so excited about this, it’s because there are always tourists around. Like ALWAYS.

We set up for Hayley’s make-up to be done with this glorious sunrise looking out over Glencoe.

She is looking fire!

During all this the tourists turned up by the busload and decided it was their own photoshoot of our beautiful bride whilst she was getting her make-up done (shakes head).

With it being so busy we decided to move off to get some privacy and head towards Glen Etive where our couple gets ready…

By this time the laughter is flowing, and we take some shots with the signature mountains and windy roads of Scotland.

I can say that that the bride and groom and everyone involved in this shoot were getting along great which made the day so much more enjoyable. Honestly, it was difficult to focus as we were all laughing so much!

With Scotland giving us such great weather, we choose to journey further into the mountains, they were calling to us!

We made one last stop and my favourite photos of the session came from this, just check out these:

I had a great road trip to Glencoe; this is one of my favourite photo locations as it is a place that keeps on giving! Some part of my soul belongs in this place, it holds such a special meaning to me, and I love being able to share this alongside our couples!

I asked Hayley and Dylan to provide a highlight of their time with us and I can’t believe the kind words they gave us:

“I loved the whole day! You were so easy going which helped the day flow so effortlessly. We had a great laugh and the creativity was on point! What a location for such a great day!”

 Hayley

“I can’t believe how much I enjoyed my day with you!! I am not one for being the centre of attention and especially in front of the camera. You made me feel so relaxed and at ease, the banter was flowing, and the bride was stunning! My favourite photos were the ones from the final location as I think everything had clicked into place and I couldn’t be happier with the results!”

Dylan

All I have to say is thank you so much for letting us capture these special moments and allowing us to be the creatives that we are. Your trust in us means the world and maybe someday we will get to capture your real wedding(s)!
