Relaxed documentary wedding photographer in Glasgow and Ayrshire

Wedding photography that’ll make you wish you had a bigger mantlepiece.

Bride & Groom sharing an intimate moment on their wedding day under sparklers

Hey, I’m Fletch. Massive nerd, secret softie, dad joke champion and a documentary wedding photographer in Glasgow.

I want to give you a wedding gallery filled with only the best bits. Like LotR with no Frodo (but hopefully with fewer fight scenes). Photos of times when you’re both crying with laughter at some stupid joke, or going all gooey inside as you look at each other. So I won’t be all up in your grill with my camera ruining the moment, because these really are the best bits.

But no one can relax around that creepy guy with the camera, can they? So I wanna be one of the gang, who just happens to be a wedding photographer. Because there are no awkward poses if no one feels awkward.

I want to be remembered as that ‘cheeky bastard’, be the bridesmaids' favourite mascot and have banter with the best man. Be the comic relief when things get serious and the emotional support when it all gets too much. And I want to give you beautiful, cinematic wedding photography that tells the story of your wedding day like the epic, Hollywood-worthy romance it is.

“If you are looking for a wedding photographer look no further than Fletch Wedding Photography.

Alan was professional throughout and made both me and my husband feel comfortable and at ease in front of the camera.

And of course, took the most amazing photos that we can cherish forever!”

Wedding photographer, friend, and generally just a nice guy!

As a wedding photographer, I’m a bit like a wildlife photographer who can’t resist getting involved. Capturing things as they happen naturally, whilst occasionally shooing away the lions and making the monkeys laugh.

And let’s be honest here, poses and group shots are harddrive fodder. You’ll never look at a group shot and say, “oh, remember when we were all standing in a field having our picture taken? What a time to be alive”. So I won’t be spending the day asking you to pose for me. 90% of my photos will be candids, taken when you’re lost in the moment, ugly-crying in the ceremony, doubled over with laughter or shooting a sexy glance across the room (hopefully at each other).

The other 10% is your couple’s photos, when we disappear away from the crowds for a while so you can have some intimate time together as a newly married couple. I’ll even step away myself for 5 minutes to give you some alone time just the two of you before we start shooting. And whether it’s a little knowing look, an in-joke, a tight squeeze, or a passionate kiss, I’ll capture all those little moments between you that make your relationship so wonderfully, uniquely yours.

But above all, your experience and our friendship are what matter most to me. I want you to think of me as ‘Fletch’, not ‘The Photographer’. Although I will be taking photos. So maybe we can compromise at ‘Fletchtographer’.
